What We Do
Financial Education Sessions
We provide financial mentoring advice and money management training through personalised sessions. Fully trained staff of the Credit Union conducts these.
Despite its name, the club also caters for the more mature members of our community. A number of activities are hosted periodically for people over 50. Opportunities are created for socialisation and interaction of older citizens interested in meeting new people or practicing a skill. Scope is always available for the introduction of new activities. Existing activities include:
- Art and Craft–an opportunity for experienced and inexperienced.
- Meet up area in the on-site café
We also invited seniors to connect with young people and add value to their lives through the sharing of experiences, skills, knowledge, and perspective.
Interested persons can also serve as support to other senior citizens. We extend an opportunity to receive free induction, training and an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Certificate. This certificate will equip volunteers to safeguard the interaction with the young people through specialised training.
Greenlight takes pride in the fact that the clubhouse is a location that invites young people to visit for leisure as well. Therefore, a Chill Zone exists at our on-site café. It creates an opportunity to connect with positive people in our café which was opened in the summer of 2012. The Café was initially intended to be open for the 2012 Olympic season only, however due to high demand, it has remained operational and is now an integral part of Greenlight and the wider community.
